On this site I'll include everything I know about my favorite team. I'll write game reports for individual games, offer interesting
stats, and keep you up to date on our championship bid.
Professional sports are a business, and, as such, need customers. When violence brings them in, violence can--and will--be
provided. A bad-boy persona can even make a player more valuable to a team's owners. Thus, in a recent NHL game, Vancouver
forward Todd Bertuzzi slugged Colorado's Steve Moore with a sucker punch, and then piled on him from behind, crushing his
face into the ice. One result was a broken neck for Moore; another, suspension for at least the rest of the season for Bertuzzi,
with a consequent salary loss of at least half a million from his $6.8 million yearly intake. Hockey can be a game that rewards
skill, brains, and athletic grace, but many fans come for red meat. In indulging them, Bertuzzi committed a crime against
hockey, and sport itself, and athletics' better possibilities. That should be the focus of public indignation. He also committed
assault, which should be the focus of a criminal investigation
